Paul Dragomir
Paul Dragomir was born in Romania in 1976. At the age of four he
started expressing himself artistically by drawing his toys and
animals in books. He has no formal training training; but educated
himself. He makes his own paints and uses at times very rare
pigments; some which are made from stones like Lapis Lazuli,
Rhodonite, Malachite, Turquoise and many more too numerous to
mention. To ensure the highest degree of permanence he tests all of
his pigments and uses mostly industrial materials and equipment due
to the inferior quality of most of the "artist grade" materials. Paul
works with acrylics, watercolors, and scratch board. The scratch
boards are the highest selling items. All the art is varnished with
non-yellowing clear coats; made with synthetic resins like
polycarbonate, polyurethane, or ethyl carbonate. In 2007 Paul closed
his art gallery in downtown Long Beach and now resides in Cambria.
